The Southern Ijaw Local Government Chairman Chief Remember P.N Ogbe has distributed the first phase of fishing nets and other agricultural inputs to fishermen in twelve communities of the area at the council’s headquarters in Oporoma. Complimentarily, the over seventy-one beneficiaries of the scheme who received the fishing materials were also given cash grant of ten thousand naira each.

 

 

 

Speaking during the presentation, the Executive Chairman, Chief Remember P.N Ogbe charged them to make judicious use of the equipment and warned against selling them for immediate financial gains.

 

 

 

James Egbesuku of Onyoma community who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to Chief Ogbe for his life-transforming programmes that has brought succour to the grassroots.

 

 

 

Also present at the event was a one-time Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers’ Council – Chief Joshua W.S. Igbugburu – who asserted that the restoration agenda of Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson is truly delivering democratic dividends in Southern Ijaw LGA

The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government council Chief Remember P.N Ogbe has Distributed the first phase of fishing materials to fishermen in twelve communities in Southern Ijaw Local Government area in Bayelsa State today at the council head Quarters in Oporoma.

Over 71 beneficiaries of the scheme received the fishing materials and they were also given the sum of Ten Thousand naira (N10,000) each by the Chairman as part of the scheme

The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government, Chief Remember P.N. Ogbe has reiterated his resolve in upholding staff welfare without compromise. He stated this during the handover ceremony of official cars purchased for councilors and management staff of the local government. Fielding questions from journalists shortly after the occasion, Chief Ogbe explained that repayment will be done through monthly deductions from source.

Speaking on behalf of the benefiting legislators and principal staff of the Southern Ijaw Local Government, Hon. Mabel Ogounga, who is also the Leader of the Legislative Arm, expressed deepest appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government describing him as God-sent. RDA CHAIRMEN COMMENDS CHIEF REMEMBER OGBE ON HIS DEVELOPMENTAL STRIDE WITHIN HIS SHORT STAY IN OFFICE

The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government, Chief Remember P.N. Ogbe has been commended for his developmental strides within his short stay in office. Hon. Kerry Asari who is the Chairman of Ogboin North Rural Development Authority made the commendation when the seven chairmen of rural development authorities within Southern Ijaw paid Chief Ogbe a courtesy visit recently.

Responding, Chief Ogbe stated that as a service oriented administration, his doors were open to ideas and synergies that could further benefit the grassroots.

Furthermore, the Southern Ijaw helmsman stressed that numerous as projects and programmes he has initiated may seem, the administration will not leave any uncompleted, adding that all ongoing projects will be completed as scheduled.

Chief Remember Ogbe Pledges to Fulfill his Electioneering Promises to the People

The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government, Chief Remember P.N. Ogbe has stated his resolve to fulfill his electioneering promises to the people of the area through the quarterly execution of life-transforming projects and programmes.

Chief Ogbe stated that the first batch of twenty-two projects have been awarded for which fifty percent mobilization has already been paid to contractors. He stated this while speaking during the recent visit of the Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command in Amassoma.

Highlighting the just-beginning construction of the Divisional Police Post and Ultra-Modern Market in Amassoma, the southern Ijaw Local Government boss warned those engaged in the sale and acquisition of lands already reclaimed by government to desist from such as his administration will not condone illegality and fraud.

On their part, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Niger Delta University, Prof. Humphrey Igoni, the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Tonye Ebi Ebitibituwa, and the Amassoma Council of Chiefs speaking through Chief Tonworiyai commended Chief Ogbe for the virile synergy his administration has built with institutions operating in the local government describing him as a partner in progress.

Earlier, Chief Ogbe disclosed that all projects will be completed and commissioned within three months.

SILGA BOSS LAUDED CONTRACTORS HANDLING COUNCIL’s ONGOING PROJECTS

The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government in Bayelsa state, Chief Remember P.N. Ogbe has lauded contractors handling the Council’s ongoing projects. Chief Ogbe gave the commendation when he paid an unscheduled visit to the project sites of the Ultra-Modern Market, and Police Post at Amassoma where work has reached an advanced stage. He however urged contractors to adhere to the timeframe as spelt out in their terms of reference in order to ensure timely handover.

Earlier, the Southern Ijaw Local Government helmsman had embarked on a similar visit to the council’s secretariat at Oporoma where renovationwork is ongoing.

In another development, Chief Ogbe frowned at encroachment of land developers into the council’s premises. The statement urged all affectedproperty owners to contact the Supervisor for Works without delay.
