OTUAN COMMUNITY HONOURS CHIEF OGBE

Otuan community in Ogboin clan of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area has joined the league of those to have organized a civic reception in honour of the Southern Ijaw Local Government Chairman – ChiefRemember Ogbe – for meritorious service to the people of the area.Describing Chief Ogbe as a true son of Ogboin clan, His Royal Highness Edward Tokpo I (JP) who is the Amananaowei of Otuan, appreciated the chairman for doing them proud by the rapid development acrossSouthern Ijaw. The royal father prayed God to take Chief Ogbe to greater heights in his future endeavours.

Responding, the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area pledged not to relent in his efforts at replicating the Restoration Agenda of Governor Henry Seriake Dickson in all its dimensions. Chief Ogbe, who stressed his resolve to adhere strictly to budget discipline, concluded that the survey work for the Phase 1 of Southern Ijaw link roads connecting Amassoma, Otuan, Oporoma,Ombugbene, Onyoma, Ekowe, and Olugbobiri has already reached an advanced stage of completion which will culminate in the roadconstruction as part of phase 2 projects.

In attendance at this epoch-making event were Chief Parish Digifa, othersons and daughter within and outside Otuan, chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, members of Bayelsa Progressive Movement, andseveral other socio-cultural groups.
