The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government, Chief Remember P.N. Ogbe has stated his resolve to fulfill his electioneering promises to the people of the area through the quarterly execution of life-transforming projects and programmes. Chief Ogbe stated that the first batch of twenty-two projects have been awarded for which fifty percent mobilization has already been paid to contractors. He stated this while speaking during the recent visit of the Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command in Amassoma. Highlighting the just-beginning construction of the Divisional Police Post and Ultra-Modern Market in Amassoma, the southern Ijaw Local Government boss warned those engaged in the sale and acquisition of lands already reclaimed by government to desist from such as his administration will not condone illegality and fraud.

On their part, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Niger Delta University, Prof. Humphrey Igoni, the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Tonye Ebi Ebitibituwa, and the Amassoma Council of Chiefs speaking through Chief Tonworiyai commended Chief Ogbe for the virile synergy his administration has built with institutions operating in the local government describing him as a partner in progress.

Earlier, Chief Ogbe disclosed that all projects will be completed and commissioned within three months.
